These Rules govern use of la2base.com (the “Website”, “Portal”, “Service”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By creating an account or using functions available only to registered users, the user confirms that they have read and agree to comply with these Rules.

The Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy are separate documents and apply together with these Rules. A user who does not agree to the Rules must not create an account or use functions that require registration.

1. General Provisions

1. The Portal is intended for publishing and discussing materials about Lineage 2 and associated topics, sharing knowledge and communicating with members of the community.

2. User Content is generally subject to post-moderation and may become publicly available before it is reviewed by a moderator.

3. Publication does not constitute endorsement by the administration. Opinions expressed by users belong to their authors.

4. Users are responsible for the content they publish and for obtaining all required rights and permissions.

5. Additional rules may apply to individual sections. In the event of a conflict, the section-specific rules take precedence for that section provided that they do not reduce any mandatory user rights.

6. Failure to read the published Rules does not excuse non-compliance.

2. Accounts

1. For standard registration, usernames must consist of Latin letters, digits, _ and -, must be between 3 and 50 characters long, and must be unique.

2. Usernames that mislead others, impersonate the administration or another user, contain abuse or hateful expressions, advertise unlawful services, or use another person’s trademark in a manner suggesting an official relationship are prohibited.

3. Users must provide a working email address and protect their password, two-factor authentication codes and access devices.

4. Transferring an account, granting account access to a blocked user, or using another person’s account without permission is prohibited.

5. Creating multiple accounts is not prohibited in itself. Multiple accounts must not be used to evade restrictions, manipulate votes or ratings, send mass messages, harass users or engage in other abusive activity.

6. Users must promptly notify the administration if they believe their account has been compromised.

7. Account-data processing and deletion are described in the Privacy Policy. Inactivity alone does not result in automatic account deletion unless the user has been informed otherwise in advance.

3. Publication Requirements

1. Content must be relevant to the selected section and have a clear title and meaningful description.

2. Where a user makes a verifiable factual claim, they should provide a source where reasonably possible. Personal opinions should be distinguished from statements of fact.

3. Quotations and third-party materials must identify their source where required by law, licence or fair-use principles.

4. Before creating a new topic or publication, users should check whether a suitable discussion already exists.

5. Meaningless titles, excessive capitalisation, decorative symbols and deliberately misleading wording are prohibited.

6. Duplicate publication, cross-posting and artificial revival of old topics are permitted only where there is significant new content or another reasonable justification.

7. Comments must remain relevant to the discussion. Brief friendly conversation is permitted where it does not disrupt the main discussion or become excessive flooding.

8. Technical restrictions on file formats, sizes and dimensions are shown in the upload interface and may change as the Website develops.

4. Prohibited Content and Conduct

The following are prohibited:

• publishing content that violates applicable law or encourages unlawful conduct;

• threats, incitement to violence, extremist material or content promoting hatred or hostility against a protected group;

• harassment, intimidation, humiliation, coordinated abuse or knowingly false factual accusations;

• disclosure of addresses, telephone numbers, documents, private correspondence or other personal or confidential information without an appropriate legal basis;

• child sexual exploitation material or any other unlawful sexual content;

• pornographic, excessively violent or shocking material outside a clearly identified and otherwise permissible context;

• infringement of copyright, trademarks, image rights, trade secrets or other third-party rights;

• malware, phishing links, stolen credentials, instructions for compromising third-party systems or tools for bypassing Portal security;

• fraud or impersonation of another person, the administration or an official project representative;

• spam, repeated mass messages, referral links, concealed advertising or unauthorised commercial promotion;

• manipulation of ratings, polls, views, reports or other metrics using additional accounts, bots or automation;

• circumvention of blocks, feature restrictions, request limits or other technical or moderation measures;

• creating excessive load, collecting data at scale without permission, interfering with the Website or testing vulnerabilities without prior written authorisation;

• publishing another person’s private messages or restricted materials without consent, except where disclosure to the administration is necessary to report a violation or is expressly permitted by law;

• provoking conflicts, repeatedly derailing discussions or obstructing the normal participation of other users.

5. Rights in User Content

1. Users retain their rights in content they create.

2. By publishing content on the Portal, the user grants the Website owner a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to host, technically reproduce, reformat, display and distribute that content to the extent required to operate, back up, promote and display the Portal.

3. The user confirms that they possess the rights required for publication and that use of the content by the Website within the stated scope does not infringe third-party rights.

4. A person who believes that material infringes their rights may submit a notice containing a description of the material, its URL, evidence of the relevant rights and contact details.

6. Moderation

1. The administration may review User Content and reports but is not required to pre-screen every publication.

2. Depending on the nature, seriousness, consequences and frequency of a violation, measures may include an informal notice, warning, editing or removal of content, restriction of functions, temporary suspension or permanent account termination.

3. Content may be temporarily hidden during a review where there are reasonable grounds to suspect a violation or risk of harm.

4. Measures may be taken without prior notice in cases involving an immediate security threat, clearly unlawful content, spam, malicious activity or circumvention of a previous block.

5. Related accounts may be restricted only where there are reasonable grounds to believe that they are controlled by the same person to evade sanctions or commit a coordinated violation.

6. The administration aims to apply measures consistently and proportionately, although different circumstances may lead to different outcomes.

7. Minimum information about a violation and block may be retained where necessary for security, prevention of sanction evasion and protection of legal rights, in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

7. Reporting Violations

To report a violation, use the available reporting function or the contact form.

Where possible, include:

• a link to the content or profile;

• a brief description of the alleged violation;

• supporting information or evidence;

• contact details where they are required to clarify the report.

Knowingly submitting false reports or using the reporting system to pressure other users is prohibited.

8. Appeals

1. A user may appeal a warning, content removal, feature restriction or account block through the contact form.

2. The appeal should include the username, the URL or identifier of the relevant content, the measure imposed and the reasons for disagreement.

3. Where reasonably practicable, the appeal will be reviewed by a different authorised member of the administration.

4. We aim to respond within 10 business days, although additional time may be required because of the complexity of the review, the number of enquiries or the need for further information.

5. Repeated appeals that provide no significant new information may receive no further response.

6. Constructive public discussion of the Rules is permitted. Disclosure of confidential moderation information, harassment of moderators and attempts to pressure reviewers are prohibited.

9. Liability and Website Availability

1. User Content reflects the views of its author. The Website owner does not verify every publication and is not liable beyond the limits established by applicable law.

2. Portal materials are provided for informational purposes. Users must independently assess their accuracy, safety and suitability.

3. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation and may temporarily restrict access for maintenance, updates or security purposes.

4. Nothing in these Rules excludes or limits liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

10. Changes to the Rules

We may amend these Rules as the Service develops or where risks or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on this page together with its effective date.

Where reasonably practicable and legally required, material changes will be announced through the Website or another appropriate method before they take effect.

Continued use of a registered account after the revised Rules take effect constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by law.

A user who disagrees with the changes may stop using the Service and request account deletion.
